Hi, I'm Kait.
I’m a New York–based Senior Designer with a focus on knitwear and contemporary RTW. I’ve spent the past 10+ years building experience across both knits and wovens, leading design from initial concept through development and production, and working closely with global teams to bring collections to life.
I’ve been drawn to fashion for as long as I can remember. It started with a Mommy and Me sewing class when I was seven, and only grew from there. As a teenager, an aunt introduced me to FIT, and that was it—my career path clicked into place early. While studying there, I took an intro to knitwear class and was immediately hooked. The idea that you could design the fabric and the garment at the same time felt incredibly intuitive to me, and I’ve been drawn to the technical, hands-on nature of knitwear ever since—not to mention its more thoughtful, minimal-waste approach.
Professionally, I’ve led design across multiple categories including sweaters, RTW, and denim, managing everything from concept development and sourcing to fittings, factory communication, and final production. I enjoy working at the intersection of creativity and problem-solving—whether that’s refining a silhouette, developing a new stitch, or improving process across teams.
My aesthetic leans modern and considered, with a strong attention to detail, fabrication, and fit. I’m currently open to freelance or full-time opportunities, particularly within knitwear, but also across woven design.
